The Last Day of Summer

I am Happy Camp was so fun the first week. It feels a little silly being home because I told everyone that I would be gone for a while and yet here I am. Everyone had to go home for this weekend. We are gonna start fresh on sunday. It is loon week which is the program for kids who normally would not otherwise get a chance to go to camp. I am head lifeguard but I also volunteered to be consellor at the same time. Most people think I am crazy but I don't mind doing it and no one else was about to volunteer. It should be pretty hectic but fun at the same time and since I am head, I can give more work to people without kids and more free time for myself (hopefully). The first work was a lot of work, well not for everyone but there was so much to be done on the waterfront. All the docks had to be put out and Oki beach needed to be all fixed. Perfect Day (well almost) This morning my aunt took me to Chez Cora for breakfast. It was amazing. I love dipping fruit in chocolate yum yum yum. After that she wanted to go to Winner's to buy something for herself but I was the one who ended up with someone. I got a dress and I love it. I love wearing little dresses in the summer although this is like my first one. It is blue and an even nicer blue underneath. I am going to wear it today. I have to pack, I might go swimming at Benny pool and then later on I am going to Ilana's house. I am having pizza for supper with my family and everything. It is such a good day. Tomorrow I leave and I think that I will be pretty sad to go. Why can't I remember the song??/ WHY!??!

My Last Few Days So in a little less than 48 hours, I leave for camp. Wonder what is happening now that both Laur and I didn't get our beach nationals. I will call today to find out. Last night I went to Jessica's house and it was pretty fun. I watched most of Finding Nemo this morning on her computer. I am so jealous that she can drive, I reallly want to go for my liscense soon and drive. I love driving things... shoulda been a race car driver maybe. Pushing the Limits Look out for all the typos in here, I am super, and i mean super, tired! I just did a 25 hour course over the period of 3 days with one day 11 hours and the other day 10hours. Mon dieu, puis tout etait en francais. I was really giving it my all, at least I think I was. We had to run 100m then swim head up front crawl 100 m and then pull the victim back 100m all in under 6 minutes. The first time I tried (yesterday) I thought I was going to cry. I was so exhausted.. it took me 10 minutes. At least I really improved and I know I pushed myself, it took me 6:50 minutes today. I improved 3 minutes and 10 seconds. I still didn't cut it but that is a big improvement and I am proud of myself. Laur missed the six minutes by 4 freaking seconds. She should be so proud of herself still! Insanity Alright so I knew going in that this course would be crazy but what i didn't know was that by the end of the day I'd be carrying ppl on my back and carrying a "aquaplane" (wind surf bottom) into the water while running and then jumping in it with my knees. Oh my gosh. I didn't understand everything because it is in french but I still managed to have some fun. Tomorrow will be hell (but hopefully still with fun incorporated). I get to wake up at 5:30 am. Merde!

So Much For That Tonight I was supposed to go out with all of my friends but none of them can make it, isn't that wonderful? Oh well... I think I may only get to see Jessica before I leave if those plans don't fall through also. Meh. Today I registered for school and it went surprisingly well. I got everything I had in mind on the first try. I am not too excited about my humanities but you never know. It lis ethical issues and political action. We'll see about that. I'll try to put up my schedule for anyone who'd like to take a look at it. I'm going to have english with Laurie and gym class with Melissa. Man... so much for going out tonight. Poor Lee... he wanted to see everyone. Who needs fathers day when you don't really have a father anyways? I think I should get something even better in return. I think for all the people who don't really have a father, they should get some kinda party or presents just for them. Gotta compensate some how hahaha...

Just Another Day I got my flippers and a new bathing suit today. Good thing that is all taken care of now. How long has it been crappy outside like this for, feels like forever. I'm starting to even feel crappy and I am the one who normally loves the rain. I just want to stay in bed. "Tell me your secrets, ask me your questions... Nobody said it was easy it's such a shame for us to part" I am still liking that song and today I felt like I could relate to it more than ever. There are a lot of things I miss from my life when I was about 14 or so but then again there are other things that I like better now. I hope that sunday happens with me and all my friends because if not I won't get to see them at all before I leave.

My back hurts! Today I went shopping... man I hate trying on clothes.. it takes forever. If I had a lot of money to waste I would just order stuff without trying it on and send back whatever I didn't like. That would be fun. Or I would have someone take all my measurements and then just go shopping for me. Shopping really really sucks in my opinion. I got two new pairs of shorts and two shirts... oh yeah and underwear... i think underwear is my fav thing. They are so cute and you don't need to try them on... nice! My granny and I are having pizza tonight though so hurrah! I love pizza! Camp is going up pretty fast but first there is the beach nationals. Oh boy, 11 hours in one day is rediculous...and then 10 the next day but at least it is only 4 hours on the first day. We'll see how that turns out. I hope I like it. Woo hoo I went to school today to pick up my school registration book and there are so many groovy english classes, hopefully available. There is mysticism in poetry and irish literature as well as go to hell (whatever that is) and children's literature. I hope I get one of those classes. I thought I was supposed to be preregistered but apparently I am not. Weird... hmm Oh yeah. I also opened a bank account today... wow I'm actually part of society now or whatever. At least it is free and I get to make 20 transactions a month. I have no money in it yet though so no need for any transactions. I Like Food I have come to the conclusion that I eat too much. I must make a mental note to change that in the somewhat near future because if not I'm gonna get fat pretty soon. Oh well... Today was a good day, dunno whether I should talk about what I did or about the food I ate hahah. hmmm I went downtown today briefly and then drove to Hudson with Craig, Pete, John and Laurie . hmmmmm I feel so good right now; there is just that certain scent in the air. You know how the wind feels against your skin right before it is going to rain? It just feels fresh and clean and maybe even a little romantic. I had an amazing day today. I woke up at around 12 and was startled because I had a meeting at 2. My aunt offered to drive me so I was able to take my time before leaving. The meeting went alright and I think that I am looking forward to this summer. When I got home I read my book for a while and tralied off at a happy part. Then I ate supper with my granny, my aunt and my great grandmother. It was nice and oh yeah... i have a confession to make; I think that I like onions. There were fried onions in my home fries (I know you are all interested) and they just tasted amazing. Anywho after that I played a game of Rummy 500 with my granny and aunt and then we watching a movie. The movie happened to be the Princess Diaries which I never thought I would end up watch...

Dancing Queen The party in Chateauguay last night was pretty fun. Wow, I hadn't danced in a pretty long time and I had a really good time yesterday. I danced like crazy for a while and then I got really tired like everyone else and the party was dead. Laur and I left at about 1 something, I think. I still want to dance tonight and I was even invited to a club but I don't think my poor feet could take it. You see, I need knew shoes and you cannot wear running shoes in this club so I am going to be nice to my feet and not go. Survival Last night 3 amigos happened to go very well. It took me about two hours to decide what to eat but eventually i went with some loco salad and fries. The fries were amazing and best part is, I didn't get sick at all. After we all went to L'an Jeu (bar/pool/kareoke place) and as Sarah and I were playing pool these two guys challenged us to play. I felt kind of awkward and whereas I am normally ok I pool; I completely sucked. Anyways Sarah's partner was kind of cute ;) He sorta had an Aladdin kinda look to him but maybe that was just me. It was fun to watch people do Kareoke, especially my friends and by the end of the night I was dragged up on stage. Melissa was begging me and Sarah to sing "I Love Rock and Roll", I don't even like the song but I went up. I was so so lucky though because my microphone wasn't working. muhahaha so it was all Sarah and Melissa. Nice! Today I think that I will take a break; I don't know if it is good to go run...

Motivate me, I wanna get myself outta this bed! I really want to make myself go jogging again today; I have to keep at it or there is no point at all of doing it. New Way to Start the Day I woke up today and went on the computer as usual and then ate breakfast maybe an hour later. I realized that I still felt sleepy and I was on the verge of going back to bed when I decided that I should go jogging. So that is what I did, I went jogging today and now I feel more awake. I have to go take a shower soon which will feel really good. If I ran for a little while every morning I am sure I would get in better shape because let me tell you, right now I am not in such good shape at all. It should also help with beach nationals coming up. Yesterday I went to La Ronde and had a really good time. All the rides were fun and I had my first beaver tail. My Bed Beckons The title of my post just reminded me of that soccer movie coming out, "bend it like beckhem" (can't spell). hah So last night was the biggest party I've been to in a while. It was sorta fun, sorta not fun. Let me think of the memories that I will enjoy recounting.
